Legal Assistant - Property Team

My client, a highly regarded law firm based in Chichester, are recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their Conveyancing team. Within the role you will provide support to the Property team by providing competent and efficient conveyancing support for the daily running of a busy department.

Duties to include:
* Preparing and sending out quotes.
* Following up on quotes to convert/obtain feedback.
* Opening new files.
* Preparing and sending out contract packs on sales (under supervision).
* Preparing completion statements (following training).
* Completing SDLT returns through case management software (following training).
* Dealing with registration at HMLR (following training).
* Reviewing completed registration title documents.
* Reporting to clients and lenders following completion of registration.
* Update clients, estate agents and other solicitors on the progress of transactions.
* Tie up incoming post with client files, liaise with fee earner as to required tasks, deal with queries, agree action etc.
* Any other duties which may from time to time be reasonably requested
To be considered for the role candidates will need to have property / conveyancing experience and to have worked as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Knowledge of case management systems would also be advantageous.
