Specialist Physiotherapist (Musculoskeletal)
Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Are you a Band 5 Physiotherapist eager to advance your MSK skills? Or a Band 6 seeking a varied role with a better work-life balance? Join our innovative and supportive team at the Royal Devon, where your growth is our priority.
We're looking for passionate Specialist MSK Physiotherapists to join our friendly service which is expanding as a result of additional funding to help meet the service demand.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to step into a Band 6 role or for an experienced Band 5 looking to develop into a specialist position. We are open to recruiting at Band 5 level for candidates who possess some, but not all, of the required experience and would support you with a development plan.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
You will provide specialist musculoskeletal assessment and treatment for a wide range of patients, referred from GPs/First Contact Practitioners, Consultants, and other Healthcare Professionals.
Classes and clinics: This role includes different exercise classes across community sites and local leisure centres. Some locations offer the opportunity to support community located fracture clinics and orthopaedic day case surgery.
Your team: You will be supported by a team of experienced clinicians to help you reach your potential and you will be involved in mentoring Band 5 Physiotherapists, Support Workers, and undergraduate physiotherapy students.
Training and development opportunities: We actively encourage CPD and you will have an opportunity to spend time with our range of specialists as part of your CPD.
For those appointed at Band 5, progression to Band 6 will be contingent upon the successful completion of competency milestones.
Support and wellbeing: All new team members have a tailored induction and join our award-winning Buddy scheme. Your team will be on hand to offer guidance and support.
Working hours: A healthy work-life balance is essential, and Devon is a great place to enjoy it.
Working Pattern: We welcome applicants who are interested in full or part-time hours. We have a flexible working policy that we are happy to discuss.
