Woodford Eye Clinic are seeking a friendly, organised Optical Receptionist to join our busy optical practice. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and obtain a level 3 qualification.

Monday to Friday
09:00am - 17:00
1 hour break
Wage:
£6.40 per hour (£7.55 from April 25)
Wage rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months
Qualification:
Business Administration level 3

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Customer Care: Greet patients warmly, assist with their enquiries, and guide them through their appointments.
* Appointment Management: Schedule appointments, update diaries, and send reminders to ensure efficiency.
* Frame and Lens Assistance: Help patients choose frames and lenses suited to their needs, providing helpful advice and recommendations.
* Administration: Maintain accurate patient records, handle incoming calls, process payments, and verify insurance details.
* Reception Area: Keep the reception tidy and well-presented, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
* Team Support: Liaise with optometrists and colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and workflow.
* Problem Solving: Address patient concerns or queries promptly and professionally.

Desired qualifications:
A-C (4-9) English and Maths or Functional Skills equivalent
Previous Experience (Desirable):
Experience in a similar receptionist or customer service role, preferably in the optical or healthcare sector.
