Hilton Seafoods is looking for a QA Supervisor to support the Technical Team Manager in the delivery of safe and legal products, and to deputise in periods of absence. An ideal candidate will be able to lead, support, and coach the factory technical quality auditors. The QA Supervisor will maintain and continually improve the site technical strategy and the technical standards set by Hilton Food Group and our retail customers and to embed and drive the Quality Culture across the site.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, support, and coach the factory technical quality auditors.
* Deputise for the Technical Team Manager during periods of absence, responding in a timely manner to their requests.
* Ensure that the factory technical systems and controls are fully implemented and verified across the site.
* Direct coaching of the production team to drive and support a continuously improving quality culture.
* Knowledge and consistent use of the incident management system/Site alert system, supported with root cause analysis.
* Monitor routine QA records for trends and use root cause analysis to minimize reoccurrences.
* Support in the update, approval, and issuing of internal specifications for both new and existing products.
* Develop and maintain technical training materials and associated team training matrices.
* Be part of the site's HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams.
* Implement relevant customer codes of practice, ensuring the internal 'ways of working' accurately reflect them.
* Co-manage and lead all 'out of spec' micro investigations with the technical team manager.
* Ensure KPIs and Technical metrics are communicated and implemented across the site.
* Work on specific projects as required to support the technical manager.
* Drive the implementation of clear QAS standards across the site.
* Deliver Technical SOPs to Operations and ensure competency assessments are in place.
* Utilize on-site systems for capturing all non-conformances and implement robust preventative action plans.
* Document factory trial reports issued to both NPD and Site Technical teams with action plans.
* Support all customer and third-party audits within the factory.
* Drive the Quality Culture through Quality near miss reports and WIBITS.
* Attend relevant DRM's to highlight issues for corrective and preventative actions.
Requirements:
* Proven track record for developing, leading, and motivating high performing teams.
* Experience in Technical systems implementation and development demonstrating continuous improvement.
* Broad experience gained working with major retailers with a reputation for integrity.
* Ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and workstreams.
