Our client is confident in his ability and lives on his family property in an annexed building, with the support of like-minded individuals to assist him with: - Personal Care Bathing, Dressing, Grooming, Toileting - Health Care Administrating medicine, using medical equipment - Driving Confidant in your ability to safely drive the clients adapted van - Daily Living Cooking, Shopping - Accompanying medical appointments - Social Support Housekeeping / Domestic duties About our Client Our client recently completed his degree in Games Design at The University of Hull and has now returned to his home in Wakefield. He works from home in his annexed building and is heavily involved with a Powerchair football club in his spare time. He is a full-time wheelchair user with a physical disability, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His interests include playing computer games, Formula 1 racing, Football and Rugby. In addition, our client enjoys going out and socialising. He also enjoys listening to all different types of music along with Marvel Films. With a joyful and delightful personality, as well as a good dry sense of humour, our client is looking for PAs who can have a laugh with him but also deal with his care in a discreet manner. As written by him I really like gaming though and can spend too long playing and I forget to do anything else. I need someone who will respect my privacy because sometimes I will want to be alone or with friends. I struggle with weak muscles and tire quite easily compared to my peers. I have limited movement. It is important that you are aware of how to move me correctly (full training will be given) and make sure I dont get too cold. In a crowd I can become anxious due to a few reasons but would need you to make sure nobody falls on me as, due to my condition, I have weak bones which means they can break easily. I like a good discussion and debate about lots of things, current affairs, politics, conspiracy theories Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided. Qualifications and Requirements: You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided.
