We are currently seeking a Senior IT Procurement Officer / Manager to work for a global retail organisation in Sussex on a contractual basis initially until the end of the year. Likely inside IR35 and will be hybrid working. The Senior IT Procurement Officer / Manager will work with the IT function and will be responsible for the procurement of IT-related goods and services, including hardware, software, licensing and enterprise agreements. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and aligning IT procurement strategies with the organisation’s technology needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage the procurement of IT equipment (hardware), software, and services in line with company needs and budgets. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible value. Oversee end-to-end supplier management, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and contract renewals. Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements, including managing renewals and audits. Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. Ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met and address performance issues when necessary. Monitor and optimise IT spending, ensuring procurement decisions align with budget constraints and strategic goals. Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Ensure that IT inventory is properly documented and up to date. Work closely with internal IT teams and other departments to understand their hardware and software needs Create order requests and PO's. Collaborate with finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies and regulations. Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Experience: Proven experience (4 years) in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Good knowledge of hardware, software, and licensing. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and manage third-party relationships. Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and a strategic mindset. Knowledge of procurement tools and best practices. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software.
