We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical background to oversee a construction project In Derbyshire. As the Owner's Representative, you will be responsible for acting as the key liaison between external engineering teams, EPC contractors, trades, and the site team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead and manage critical industrial projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
* Serve as the Owner’s Representative on-site, ensuring that all construction activities meet project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with external engineering teams, EPC contractors, trades, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
* Oversee site surveys and ensure any field issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
* Manage and supervise various aspects of construction, including coordination between multiple teams and external partners.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring that project goals, milestones, and deadlines are met.
* Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and timelines to senior management and stakeholders.
* Coordinate the implementation and installation of fire protection systems (fire water tanks, etc.) and ensure adherence to project requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site, acting as the point of contact for all project-related concerns.
* Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, timelines, and budgets.
Role Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, specifically within construction.
* Experience working on industrial projects such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, COMAH, and Industrial Process Plants is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of and experience with fire protection systems, including fire water tanks, is advantageous.
* Experience in site surveys and field assessments is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and health & safety regulations.
* A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
