Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal presents a year-round programme of drama, dance, music and comedy at both the Theatre and at venues in the region. It also offers its space for hire for weddings, parties, events and conferences.
We're looking for a Technician to join the Technical Department, responsible for the smooth operation of the Theatre Royal stage and for technical support for all the Company’s events. The role will also work to ensure the general upkeep and repair of the Theatre and its equipment. Theatre Royal is also a Grade 1 listed building of historic national significance in addition to being a vibrant theatre venue and producer.
To work as a member of the team of resident technicians and casuals in order to ensure that a high standard of technical support is provided for all aspects of operation in the Theatre and at any other location requested by Management. This includes:
- inhouse productions ;co-productions.
- performances by visiting and amateur companies.
- education and community projects.
- rural and national tours.
- commercial and fundraising events.
