Deputy Controller Responsibilities:
* Provides expert advice on financial aspects of the business, including strategic planning, analysis of project and contract financial data, assessment of business and financial risks, and resolution of financial issues.
* Contributes to the creation and enforcement of financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls.
* Oversees cash flow, budgeting, and financial performance metrics to aid in informed decision-making.
* Manages general ledger accounting functions, including processing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and overseeing the month-end closing procedures.
* Evaluates and analyzes financial transactions to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
* Offers leadership and guidance to staff on financial matters while supporting their professional growth and development.
Deputy Controller Qualifications:
* 4+ Years of relevant accounting experience with Bachelor's Degree
* CFA Certification or CPA Candidate in process of obtaining certification
* Experience in Government Accounting is strongly preferred
