Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Pattern Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Gerber software, with a strong background in creating and optimizing patterns for manufacturing processes. The role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality products efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Utilize CAD software to design and develop patterns for manufacturing various products.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
Translate design concepts into functional and efficient pattern designs.
Analyze existing patterns and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
Implement optimizations to enhance product quality, reduce material waste, and increase manufacturing efficiency.
Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless integration of optimized patterns into manufacturing workflows.
Conduct thorough quality checks on pattern designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to pattern design or manufacturing processes.
Implement quality control measures to maintain consistency and reliability in pattern production.
Create detailed documentation of pattern designs, including specifications, materials, and manufacturing instructions.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to convey technical information and coordinate project timelines.
Provide training and support to production staff on new pattern designs and manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Pattern Engineer or similar role in manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Gerber software a significant plus
Strong understanding of pattern design principles and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in manufacturing.
Experience with textile or apparel manufacturing (preferred but not required).
Experience with sewing
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday 8am to 2pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00-£16.00 per hour
