We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Undergraduate who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
Our pharmacy department is friendly and progressive. We look forward to welcoming summer students for eight week placements in June 2025.
Students will be exposed to a range of clinical areas, as well as working in the dispensary and getting involved with project work as opportunities arise. This will be a broad and exciting introduction to hospital pharmacy.
The post holder will support the undertaking of various projects/audits, whilst also being given the opportunity to shadow clinical pharmacists on the wards.
During this placement, you will get little taster sessions across a range of pharmacy areas including homecare services, medicines management, aseptic services and dispensary.

Job responsibilities
You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, be well organised and committed. You must be an undergraduate pharmacy student studying on an MPharm programme. Whilst students from all years are welcome to apply, third year undergraduates will be prioritised in order to support them with their Oriel applications for Foundation Training.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A levels (at least two sciences) or equivalent
* Be undertaking a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) Degree - ideally third year students but applications from lower years are welcomed
Experience
* Previous pharmacy placement experience (including placements organised via university)
* IT literacy including core Office programs
Knowledge
* Pharmacy knowledge appropriate to students place in degree programme
