Executive Director of People Services and Organisational Development

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to join the organisation as its Executive Director of People Services and Organisational Development.
BCUHB is one of the largest integrated health and social care organisations in the UK, serving the North Wales population spanning six counties. It provides a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and specialist hospital services across 3 acute hospitals, 22 community hospitals and a network of health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units.
The organisation has made significant progress operationally in the previous 12 months and seeks an Executive Director of People Services and Organisational Development to help further drive improvements.
BCUHB therefore seeks an experienced, progressive and dynamic People leader to help lead the Health Board through the next stages of its transformation journey.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of the People aspects of the Health Board's goals and objectives, ensuring it serves the needs of clinical and non-clinical divisions across the organisation and works in partnership with staff and staff representatives.
2. Organisational Development: Drive initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness, foster a culture of compassionate leadership, continuous improvement, and promote employee engagement.
3. Talent Management: Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring the Health Board has the right people in key positions.
4. Employee Wellbeing: Champion employee wellbeing initiatives, ensuring a supportive and healthy work environment for all staff.
5. Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including unions, staff representatives, and external partners, to build consensus and support for organisational improvements.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).
* Educated to master degree level relevant to the field of expertise or equivalent senior level of work experience.
* Evidence of continual professional development.
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience working at Director Level in a people-centred organisation.
* Experience across all major functional areas of HR, including employee relations, organisational development, workforce planning, reward, learning and development.
* Evidence of working across organisations to lead, introduce and manage significant change and transformation programmes.
* Experience in strategic planning and development.
* Proven experience of working or contributing at Board level.
