We are recruiting for a Clerical Officer Placements within our professional services team to support a range of Learning, Teaching and Assessment activities required to deliver the 3 year Pre-Registration Nursing programme. The postholder will work with the Administrator to undertake, co-ordinate, plan and prioritise the wide-ranging activities and events relating to the student placements which is 50% of the education programme. This is a permanent appointment.
Your priorities will include:
* Responsible for the Practice Learning mailbox to ensure consistency with communication to students and NHS colleagues
* Undertake the manual allocation of all students and transfer of information into QMPLE
* Ensure the Immigration Compliance team are kept updated with placement information for students who require a visa
* Process the placement expense applications for students who are not in receipt of a SAAS bursary
e.g. international and RUK students
* Support the implementation of the EPad working with the administrator and e-learning technologist including adding Academic Assessors to the system
* Support the Practice Learning academic team in relation to MyDundee pages being up to date
* Ensure student records are reflect student journey in relation to hours completed during practice learning and simulated practice into SITs (Student Management System)
* Provide support to the PLTin relation to the Simulated Practice Experience, maintaining students SPE Groups, retrieving and recording all hours. Distribute SPE lists to facilitators for moderation and providing Advisor of Studies with a note of hours completed.
* Provide support to aspects of the placement journey including audits, cause for concern, the practice learning committee working closely with the Practice Learning Lead
* Work with the Go Abroad Co-ordinator in relation to student Go Abroad opportunities
* Liaise as appropriate, with all staff directly responsible for the practice learning element of the programme; practice learning team, academic year lead and Advisers of Studies
* Provide cover across the range of learning and teaching activities if required and cover to the Enquiries Office during periods of annual leave and staff absence
* Ensure that the five core values set by the University Transformation Agenda of valuing people, working together, integrity, making a difference and communication are implemented and embedded into the working environment within the School
Who we're looking for:
* An administrator, preferably with experience of higher education, with a sound knowledge of IT
* Strong planning, organisational and prioritising skills and an eye for detail
* Work independently using judgement and initiative to plan and organise own workload
* Respond proactively to challenges with the ability to work enthusiastically and flexibly as a member of a team responding to tight deadlines that are determined both internally and externally
