Job Title: Specialist Wound Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Wound Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our innovative pilot medtech-enabled GP service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes in wound healing by utilizing the latest technology and advanced wound care devices. This position involves working closely with our team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients with lower leg wounds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care treatment plans.
* Apply and manage advanced wound care devices such as the Tight Alright device, Accel-Heal device, and automated daily calls system.
* Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
* Provide patient education and support, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and the use of advanced wound care devices.
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
* Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated with the latest wound care practices and technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous significant clinical experience in wound care.
* Knowledge of advanced wound care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong IT, organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Desirable Skills:
* Additional training or certification in wound care.
* Familiarity with GDPR and data protection regulations.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
