The Commercial Industries and Access School are now seeking a Sessional Lecturer someone to take responsibility for the group tutorship of one of the courses within the Travel & Tourism curriculum area. You will teach on a variety of courses and levels across the curriculum area, including but not limited to: BTEC, NCFE, Levels 1, 2, 3.This could include Travel & Tourism units, business and events management units and aviation/cabin crew units.
The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. The post will also be involved in internal verification activities and organise and take part in external verification.
We would like you to hold a degree or professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education. You will have excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes with links to the industry, relevant external agencies and validating bodies and awareness of academic quality standards.
With high personal standards and expectations and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
