Quality Inspector
£36,000 (including shift allowance)
Location: BS10
Hours: 38 hours a week on Shifts Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm (6am start and early finish Fridays on all shifts)

Friendly and successful aerospace engineering company in Bristol is recruiting for a Quality Inspector who will report to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Dimensional and visual inspection of precision machined components.
2. Performing first off, FAIRS, intermediate, and final inspection.
3. Supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records for these activities.
4. Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Review and interpret route cards, process instructions, drawings, and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances.
6. Inspection, verification, and certification of incoming material and sub-contract parts.
7. Using all types of standard measuring equipment.
8. Use of CMM.
9. Dealing with quality issues and delivering practical solutions on the shop-floor.
10. Working with reports in accordance with AS9102.
The successful candidate should have around 5 years of quality experience in engineering, an aerospace background, and a desire to further develop their career. Candidates should be able to perform the role with minimum supervision and work as part of a small team of quality inspectors.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates suited to this role are likely to have a related engineering background, City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualifications, and/or specific quality-related qualifications. Experience of operating CMM machines is required for the role.
