The successful candidate will deliver and manage the day-to-day IT operations of the company, be involved in IT strategy, maintain high standards of IT service delivery, and support the safeguarding of IT infrastructure.
Minimising downtime and operational disruption are essential to the successful running of the business.

Role is office-based at our Headquarters in Staverton, Cheltenham. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute and oversee the IT strategy in alignment with the company goals, ensuring effective and timely delivery of IT projects in a Microsoft environment.
2. Manage and mentor the team of IT professionals – supporting the overall IT strategy.
3. Oversee and ensure the service desk operates efficiently, providing outstanding support to all staff members across multiple offices in the UK.
4. Oversee the delivery of IT services within a Microsoft & ITIL environment, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with established SLAs.
5. Support IT infrastructure, including IT security initiatives to ensure robust and reliable systems across the business.
6. Control IT expenditure within the IT budget.
7. Manage 3rd party relationships with consultants and service providers.
8. Collaborate with senior management, including people at the Director level and other stakeholders to understand and address urgent IT needs, to develop a robust IT strategy moving forward.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Strong technical understanding of:
1. Microsoft hardware (Windows Server)
2. Microsoft 365 and Azure
3. MS Exchange
4. Cyber Security and Cyber Essentials, or equivalent accreditation
5. IT Best Practices, Policy and Processes
Experience:
1. Experience in a similar senior IT role i.e. IT Manager.
2. Ability to manage cross-functional IT teams and develop those teams.
3. Excellent understanding of IT service management, IT infrastructure, and IT operations management.
4. Experience within the construction sector or product assembly environment would be beneficial.
5. Achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials, or equivalent, accreditations
6. Have the ability to implement new IT strategies and lead large-scale IT projects.
