With growing project deliverables and a strong growth strategy for Scotland, we currently have an opportunity for a Technician (Renewables Energy Infrastructure) to join our team in Edinburgh.

Experience:
* Relevant work experience as a Junior Technician or equivalent post;
* Knowledge and competence in AutoCAD and other relevant software packages.
Technical Attributes:
* Creation of engineering drawings using AutoCAD
* Modeling and analysis of linear construction using Civils 3D
* Design using pipe network, attenuation system, and culvert modeling software
* Knowledge of DMRB and local road standards for access solutions
* Ability to produce engineering drawings, reports, and calculations
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Support design packages for renewable energy projects, including wind, transmission, and infrastructure access design.
* Develop sitelayout and route options for planning and environmental assessments.
* Design bridges and retaining structures considering structural and flooding factors.
* Perform catchment and culvert hydraulic assessments and obtain necessary authorizations.
* Design sustainable drainage systems and liaise with statutory authorities.
* Contribute to highway design concepts, including geometry, drainage, and signage.
* Assist in preparing tender packages and as-built records.
* Be aware of health, safety, and environmental hazards throughout project phases.
* Act as a point of contact for clients on designated work packages.
* Implement company quality processes and support financial targets.
* Seek feedback, develop technical presentation skills, and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications:
* HND or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar qualification.
* Working towards a BTEC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
