The Front Desk Clerk will track adherence to daily Live Load, deliver a full pre brief and de brief for all drivers and distribute any paperwork to relevant departments.
This role will be responsible, in a timely manner, for tracking, escalating and reporting own and third-party haulier adherence to agreed transport plan so that the team meet the required service and cost performance targets.
The individual will pre-brief all shift drivers to ensure accurate information is communicated, the drivers are well and fit for work, required breaks have been taken, communicate any briefings/updates ensure drivers are added to required systems and are informed of special of their trip.
Conducting a full debrief of all drivers the individual will ensure all legalities have been conformed with, driving infringements are dealt with live, any late deliveries are recorded with reasons why, any safety issues are escalated in real time, all departure, arrival times are captured in readiness for M.I reporting. Data entry into relevant systems.
Dealing with day to day issues such as vehicle breakdowns, defects, driver holidays and absence reporting in support of driver management.
Agreed shift patterns will be in support of the required operational demands of the business meeting a 24/7 front desk coverage.
The role will report directly to the Anwick site Lead, and will play a key role in making Moy Park Transport a "Best in Class" operation.
As part of the front desk team your responsibilities ae to:
Adopt and ensure compliance on all aspects of H&S legislation with the target of zero harm
Uphold Group and Company image, policies and values
Using a mix of automated and manual tools track the adherence of vehicles to plan for GB and NI movements of: Live Load, Export, inter-sire movements, packaging materials, stock and retail orders, B2B and food service deliveries
Undertake driver pre-brief and debrief activities, provide performance feedback to drivers using available systems
Identify and escalate daily issues, infringements and all areas of driver non-conformance
Complete driver paperwork management ensuring the relevant departments receive PODs etc.
Identify lane/load risks and highlight these, to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders, together with any proposed risk mitigations
Populate and maintain scheduling and the 'live' booking and management information systems ensuring that relevant data is correctly recorded, e.g. arrival times, departure times TRT times, MPGs, P vs A reporting
Share accurate information on plans and plan changes with own drivers and service providers to enable effective operations.
Support work in tracking and execution of 'bad weather' contingency planning (UK)
Report on GB internal and external DOT for own and Third Party Carriers
Drive customer satisfaction through proactive and collaborative day to day engagement with internal and external stakeholders, such as planners, dispatch teams, own and third party drivers
Support administration and KPI reporting duties relevant to the Logistics function, including compilation of handover reports,
Support any reasonable request, subject to the needs of the business
