Job overview
Under the direction of the team leader, the theatre practitioner/anaesthetic/recovery Nurse is accountable for organizing and providing nursing care in the peri-operative setting. They will work to support the Anaesthetic team to develop and maintain excellence in peri-operative practice.
You will also be the link between the Anaesthetic team and other parts of the operating theatre and hospital.

The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of the team to deliver high standards of patient care responsive to patients' needs. There would be an expectation that you would be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts days, nights, and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the service.
The post holder will possess the ability to work alone and with the wider supporting team and work collaboratively with external agencies. You will be expected to demonstrate and role model the uppermost professional standards.
Main duties of the job
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with the patient, multidisciplinary team, and family/carer where appropriate.
* Actively focus on health promotion with individual patients.
* Effectively manage your workload delegated by a senior nurse by prioritizing care appropriately.
* Carry out a range of Anaesthetics, Recovery, and obstetric clinical duties, providing a 24/7 service.
* Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.

Experience
