The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites applications for the position of Research Data Manager.
The Opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen within the Informatics Research Data Management team. You will be responsible for the analysis, collation, storage, reporting, and publishing of data relating to research and research performance. You will play a key role in the coordination and submission of the Informatics’ REF return. You will be proactive in nurturing a vibrant impact culture within the school, encouraging academic staff to engage with impact activities.
This post is fixed term (12 months) and full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is UE07 £40,247 to £47,874 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
1. Demonstrable experience of analysis, interpretation, and implementation of regulatory frameworks and codes of practice within the HE sector.
2. Excellent communication (verbal and written), leadership, and interpersonal skills.
3. Advanced competency in the use of databases with the ability to interrogate, analyze, manipulate, and report on data.
4. Proven organization and planning skills, including a methodical and flexible approach to tasks; an ability to effectively prioritize and plan, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and deliver work to tight timescales and deadlines.
