MAC Recruit Group Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and successful organisation in Glasgow in their search to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team, on a permanent, part-time basis (25 hours pw).
As part of a highly skilled finance team, you will play a key role in managing financial records, processing payments, and providing essential support to both internal teams and external partners. You’ll have the opportunity to grow within a thriving company that values precision, teamwork, and professional development. Key duties of the role will surround:
* Reconcile payments and process invoices efficiently
* Assist in organising weekly payment schedules
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers
* Assist with both accounts payable and receivable functions
* Address financial inquiries from internal departments and external partners
* Contact customers via phone, email, or letter to follow up on overdue debts and ensure compliance with payment terms
* Investigate any disputed transactions and ensure proper follow-up by the relevant department
* Keep detailed records of ongoing disputes, escalating them to senior management when necessary
This role will be based fully onsite with flexibility around working pattern. To be successful within the role, the following experience will be required:
* Strong IT literacy (particularly Excel)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
* Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels
