We are recruiting for female Support Workers to support a new lady who will be moving into our Gilmerton service in Edinburgh.
Here, you will support four ladies to live the best lives possible by supporting them to live as independently as possible. They are very active in their community and enjoy going to local clubs/groups, meeting new people, going shopping and exploring the town.
The ladies have some mobility issues, so there will be support required to help them get around, support with personal care and to administer medication. Your main goal will be to provide the right support so they can be as independent as possible and are supported to make their own choices.
We would love to hear from enthusiastic applicants who are interested in developing new skills. If you have a full UK driving license that’s a bonus (but not required) as the ladies have a shared mobility vehicle which they use to get out and about.
Our team provide support 24/7, so we are looking for flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends. The shift patterns are:
•07.00 - 14.00
•14.00 - 21.00
•21.00 - 07.00 (waking night - there are no vacancies for waking nights at this time)
We are currently recruiting for full-time (37.5 hour) Support Worker roles only at this time. Your values: We like to be supported by people who respect us and our homes, but who also like to have fun!
We like people who are reliable and honest, so we can build trust and know that you have our best interests at heart.
It’s important that you can communicate well with us and work well within our team.
