Horizon Care and Education has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join our Team at our Olympus School, based in Croydon.
Here at Horizon, we provide education and support to children and young people who have complex special educational needs and require their SEN provision to be delivered in a specialist setting. Our specialist independent schools offer unrivalled opportunities, securing sound educational outcomes with personalised, inclusive, and stimulating programmes of learning.
Minimum Requirements:
1. QTS or QTLS Qualification
2. Proven teaching and learning experience
3. Experience teaching English and Literacy
4. Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
The ideal candidate should:
1. Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
2. Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standards
3. Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills
4. Have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
5. Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education
