The Role
This role is unique and impactful. It involves working within our Cavendish Nuclear business, supporting projects from decommissioning nuclear facilities and supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent to building and operating nuclear power plants. Our goal is to clean up nuclear legacy, support energy security, and meet net-zero commitments.
As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for managing engineering and technical activities across projects, applying your process and domain knowledge.
* Manage customer relationships, interface with clients and supply chain on design issues, and assist with procurement specifications.
* Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly applied to engineering activities.
* Review, verify, and approve all deliverables under your control and supervision.
* Conduct technical investigations and analyses for problem-solving and design improvements.
* Produce and review calculations, analyses, technical reports, specifications, and method statements.
* Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized.
This is a full-time role (37 hours/week) with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience
* Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams on various project types.
* Proven experience with a variety of tasks in engineering projects.
* Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with other disciplines.
Essential Qualifications
* An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with demonstrable experience.
