We have an exciting opportunity here at Nidec to join us as a Field Technician within our Power division. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations for our customers and when you are not on-site, you will also manage projects and key tasks within the service department.
Immediate response to any urgent request for on-site support
Maintenance of equipment for our customers, and resolution of any electrical or mechanical breakdowns
Strict compliance with legal Health and Safety Regulations and Nidec policy
On-call assistance for customers via telephone
Management of own work-related administration, such as on-site reports and travel arrangements
When acting as Project Leader, your main duties will include:
Ensuring that projects are carried out in line with our Health and Safety policies, taking into account geographical risk and customer feedback
Travel Requirements:
This role requires frequent travel within the UK and Ireland.
ONC or BTEC in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering
Experience in maintaining rotating electrical machines
Strong understanding of the operation and maintenance of electric motors and alternators
Ability to provide excellent service to customers whilst navigating potentially difficult situations
