An esteemed independent all-through secondary school in Fareham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Supply Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis. We are looking for a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher who can confidently deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3 & KS4. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level and be able to adapt to the school’s curriculum while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and policies.
2. Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on students’ progress and attainment.
3. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.
4. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
5. Work collaboratively with other members of the Maths department and school staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.
6. Uphold the school’s values and maintain professional standards in teaching and classroom management.
7. Participate in school activities, meetings, and parents’ evenings, as required.
Requirements:
1. A recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with a strong background in teaching Mathematics.
2. Proven experience of teaching Maths at secondary level, ideally up to A-Level.
3. Ability to quickly integrate into the school environment and effectively deliver engaging lessons.
4. Strong classroom management skills with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
