Key Tasks include:
1. Be fully conversant with the facilities, services, and special promotions offered by the hotel and pass this information on to the guest whenever possible to maximize hotel sales.
2. Ensure awareness of hotel availability and take every opportunity to maximize room sales.
3. Anticipate guest needs, act upon, and follow up guest requests, delivering a level of service and responsiveness that generates compliments.
4. Ensure all charges are correctly posted to the guest's bills following standard procedures.
5. Deal with cash, cheque, and credit transactions in accordance with hotel and company policy; ensure any discrepancies are reported immediately.
6. Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible.
7. Ensure communication procedures are effective and efficient day-to-day to maintain service standards.
8. Develop positive and effective communication between the Guest Services team and Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reservation teams.
9. Have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, and special events, and know where further information can be obtained.
10. Develop interactive customer relations and be aware of any possible future requirements, relaying such information to your manager to enhance customer expectations.
11. Ensure personal data and credit card information are handled as per GDPR and PCI rules.

6. Fluency in English.
7. NICE TO HAVE: Hotel reception experience and a good working knowledge of EPOS systems (desirable but not essential).
8. Ability to work under pressure independently.
