The role
is focused on three key areas:
1. Strategic Sourcing - supporting and identifying sourcing activity across Sales and Marketing to deliver service quality and commercial value
2. Relationship Management - acting as a trusted business advisor to Sales and Marketing stakeholders and providing governance support to key supplier relationships
3. Risk Management - through the negotiation of robust service contracts and service level agreements, compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes and the ongoing development of best practice procurement processes
This is a regionally based role, ideally situated in our Manchester office*, reporting into a London based Procurement Category Manager. They will collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support their sourcing strategy and supply chain requirements in delivering sustainable cost savings and additional added value. The position offers some flexibility in terms of working arrangements, but the individual is required to work a minimum of three days a week from a PwC office.
What your days will look like:
4. Supporting and identifying strategic sourcing opportunities. Completing general procurement related administration
5. Leading / facilitating market reviews, tender exercises, contract preparation and negotiation.
6. Supporting Sales and Marketing in managing associated risks, facilitating legal support and Compliance requirements
7. Liaising with Ops and Supplier Manager to develop and monitor KPIs / and participate in preferred supplier review meetings
This role is for you if:
8. Established Procurement and sourcing experience with developed commercial and technical expertise in the area of sourcing and contract negotiation
9. Must possess a MCIPS Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
10. Strong relationship skills with the ability to build relationships that are genuine and built on trust
11. Robust communication skills
12. Ability to identify and address risk management issues
13. Intellectual agility and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex challenges
