Job summary This is a combination entry level clinical and admin position. GP Assistants are the bedrock of the clinical team and provide essential preparation and support to the practice. Initially clinically admin-focused there is the opportunity for individuals, once they have demonstrated the appropriate personality and skills, to advance into Phlebotomy, taking blood and blood pressures. Main duties of the job Ensuring the Practice is ready to function by carrying out daily checks, room stocking and the removal of clinical waste. As part of the clinical administration, individuals will be involved in recalls for patients, calling and speaking with patients to arrange appointments, tests and follow-up appointments. Clinical Tasks include - Dipping urine, taking blood pressure, ECGs, phlebotomy & vaccinations within competences (following adequate training).
