Job overview
* To provide strong and visible leadership to integrate, coordinate and assure the effective governance of the Trust.
* To develop, lead on and be responsible for the Trust’s systems of Quality Governance and Risk Management and report directly to the Director of Clinical Quality & Governance.
* The portfolio includes responsibility for patient safety, quality governance, risk management, clinical effectiveness and clinical compliance, ensuring Trust is fully compliant with our Duty of Candour, legal services, and Policy Management (evaluating assurance of and compliance with the Care Quality Commission requirements).
* To increase organisational leadership capability to demonstrate our culture of continuous improvement to ensure that the organisation can evidence that services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led in accordance with the regulatory requirements and CQC inspection standards in partnership with the Compliance Manager.
* To report directly to the Director of Clinical Quality & Governance and work in close liaison with the programme director and clinical leads for the Quality First Improvement programme.
* To support the patient safety incident response framework (PSIRF), supporting staff and patients, lead improvement programmes and lead the annual evaluation of PSIRF.
* To support leaders to articulate their actual focus on safety and quality improvement, supported by audit, shared learning and innovation.
