You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 one-year trainee programme. While we can’t guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12-month contract, if you perform well and if we have an open position available at the time, then permanent employment could be a possibility.
As a trainee, you will be introduced to investment management and gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships to progress your career and develop skills to secure a permanent role. We will support you in achieving a professional qualification if this is something you are interested in doing.
Our trainee programme is a fixed term one-year contract paying £26,000. You will receive 27 days annual leave. All roles are based in London.
The purpose of the role
The hybrid role of Junior Project Manager and CASS Oversight Trainee is an entry level position within a team of 4 that would be required to:
1. Manage the delivery of small change initiatives and projects and provide vital assistance and support to programme and project managers to enable the successful development, implementation, and delivery of mandatory or strategic projects and programmes.
2. Provide assistance and support to the CASS oversight team in their role of overseeing the activities of the firm to maintain compliance with the FCA rules on safeguarding client money and assets (CASS).
Responsibilities include
Project Management:
1. Manage small change initiative and project activities, using methodology adhering to best practice, to deliver the agreed benefits on time and within budget.
2. Support the Programme/Project Manager with the production of Steering Group packs and other key reports.
3. Support the Programme/Project Manager by enforcing and administering Portfolio Management Office processes and controls, including:
1. Quality control of programme/project documentation and governance
2. Maintenance of the programme/project RAID log highlighting delays, exceptions and issues where appropriate
3. Maintenance of the programme/project delivery plan and milestone tracking
4. Administration of key programme/project governance meetings
5. Development of programme/project status report
CASS:
1. Support the CASS Oversight Team with production of meeting packs for the monthly CASS Oversight Management Committee.
2. Support the review of daily client money reconciliations and preparation of the monthly CMAR Reporting to the FCA.
3. Assist with the deliverables and organization of the annual external CASS audit.
4. Support review of policies and procedural documentation.
