Email Marketing/ CRM Executive £35,000 to £40,000 pa Hybrid Working (1 day per week working from home) We are seeking a talented and experienced Email Marketing / CRM Executive to join our eCommerce team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email marketing, customer relationship management, and data analysis. This role is essential for driving customer engagement, retention, and ultimately sales growth through innovative email strategies across B2C and B2B channels in international markets. RESPONSIBILITIES Email Marketing Strategy Development: Working with E-Commerce Director and Marketing Director to develop and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals. This includes defining target audiences, setting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and outlining the email calendar. Email Campaign Creation & Management: Designing, building, and deploying email campaigns using Ometria and Mailchimp. This involves working with the creative team to produce high quality email content that engages our audiences and reflects the David Austin brand Segmentation and Personalisation: Develop and implement strategies for customer segmentation and personalisation based on customer behaviour, demographics, and purchase history to enhance engagement and improve overall campaign performance. Testing: Continuously testing different email elements (subject lines, content, calls to action, send times) to optimise performance. Analysing results and iterating on campaigns based on data. Email Automation: Implement and manage automation workflows, such as welcome series, abandoned cart emails, post-purchase follow-ups, and win-back campaigns. Cross-Client Testing: Test emails to ensure they display correctly across various email clients (such as Gmail, Hotmail, and Outlook) and web browsers (including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) to guarantee optimal user experience. Reporting & Analysis: Tracking key email marketing metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, etc.) and generating regular reports to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement. Using data visualisation tools to present findings effectively. Subscriber and Database Management: Maintaining clean and accurate email lists, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). This includes list segmentation, suppression of inactive or unengaged subscribers, and data deduplication. List Growth: Develop and implement strategies to grow the email subscriber list, including lead generation campaigns and signup forms. Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Customer Service teams to align efforts and ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement across different regions and market segments. Industry Trends: Stay updated on email marketing trends, best practices, and technologies to ensure our strategies remain competitive and innovative. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Minimum of 2 years of experience in email marketing, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector. Experience working with Ometria and Mailchimp is preferred, but familiarity with other ESPs such as Klaviyo is acceptable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
