Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for all guests and staff. This role is essential in upholding our standards of cleanliness, particularly in hotel settings, and may involve commercial cleaning tasks as well.
Responsibilities
1. Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces within the hotel.
2. Ensure all surfaces are cleaned, dusted, and sanitised to meet health and safety standards.
3. Handle laundry services including washing, drying, and folding linens.
4. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
5. Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.
6. Assist in the preparation of dining areas when required, including basic cooking tasks as needed.
7. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishment when necessary.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
2. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is advantageous.
3. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
