About Community Sport & Health Officer Apprentice
Coach Core's vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.
The Community Sport and Health Officer role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community. Super Star Sports are offering a great opportunity to learn lots of different sports with the support from the directors and other coaches within the company, all while having a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Often, nursery sessions are in the morning, followed by lunchtime deliveries for schools, getting as many children active as we can. The day finishes with an after-school club, delivering a range of different sports, from football, archery, and basketball to spy club.
The latest you will finish will be around 16:15pm / 16:30pm. Please note, a driving licence and personal car are required for this role.
What your apprenticeship includes:
1. A mixture of face-to-face and online catch-ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress.
2. A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars.
3. Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer.
4. The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE).
We particularly welcome applicants from female, black, minority ethnic (BME) communities, disabled people, and homosexual, bisexual, and trans (LGBT) communities, as they are currently underrepresented within our workforce.
You will work towards your community sport and health officer L3 qualification over the course of 12-18 months.
