What skills and experience we're looking for
The Lunch Time Controller ensures the safety, welfare and good conduct of our nursery children whist attending the Lunch Club.
To assist the Lunchtime Controller supervisor with any additional task’s as required.
Duties:
1. Collect morning children from their member of staff & welcome afternoon children.
2. Complete registers for children attending lunch club.
3. Set tables for lunch time with children’s help
4. Assist children to wash hands and collect lunch boxes
5. Manage any children with allergies.
6. Sit at table with children and encourage good table manners together with healthy eating patterns
7. Encourage conversation between the children and adults
8. Clear away tables with children’s help
9. Supervise children in dining area, playground or other designated area of the nursery
10. Provide sensitive and appropriate welfare support to children (nappy changing and basic first aid duties if trained)
11. Observe school security and health and safety arrangements
12. Provide structured play activity if time
13. Ensure that morning children go home with appropriate adults
14. Take afternoon children to their own member of staff at 12.30pm and complete a handover to the Key Worker.
15. Leave the nursery in a tidy and organised fit state ready for the afternoon session by sweeping up food and crumbs from under tables and putting any used equipment & activities away.
