Job summary Home Birth Midwife The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust There are exciting opportunities that have opened up in our Home birth team for enthusiastic and motivated band 6 midwives to be involved in innovative midwifery by providing continuity of care for those women who would like a homebirth. There is a focus on continuity of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care and this role includes a variety of clinical care from bookings, antenatal follow-ups, on-calls for homebirths, intrapartum care for your own women and postnatal care at home or in a clinic. We are looking for motivated experienced midwives to join this fantastic team providing a service to local women and families. You would be expected to be part of an on-call rota as part of the team and be a car driver. You can expect a warm welcome at Hillingdon from our established and friendly multidisciplinary team. Using continual assessment and analysis you will provide continuity of carer throughout the woman's pregnancy, birth and postnatal period to ensure her medical, psychological and social needs are assessed and holistically cared for. As a caseload midwife, you will be working alongside multi professional teams providing the most appropriate care for women whilst breaking down barriers that can inhibit women with socially complex lives accessing high quality maternity care. Provide high quality, evidence-based care and advice to women throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods in a variety of settings such as the community, hospital and woman's home.
