We are currently looking for Casual Café / Hospitality Assistants to join our Catering & Hospitality team in readiness for our exciting 2025 season, to support us during our busy operational periods and our event days. Whilst as a Casual Assistant there are no set days, our busiest times are generally weekends and holiday periods. We will contact you when we have a need for cover and you tell us if you are free and available to support. We are a 7-day visitor experience so hours will include weekends, some evenings and public holidays, including New Year’s Day. Some event days may require an early start/late finish.
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals with a passion for delivering the very best customer service to join our busy café team, and play your part to ensure that the Museum consistently provides a high-quality experience to all. You are the face of the museum for our visitors and your interactions can really make someone’s visit special.
You'll be supporting our team by:
Maintaining cleanliness of the café - helping prepare it for opening and closing, this will involve lifting chairs and moving tables
Being part of the café service team
Acting as a Barista, taking hot drink orders and preparing them whilst the guest waits
Taking hot food orders at the till
Restocking our fridges
Delivering food to guests sitting inside or outside
Cash handling
Working closely with the kitchen teams
Supporting our Hospitality team with set up, clear down of rooms for functions and with food/ drink service when needed
Working in pop up catering outlets for big events which may be outside

Brooklands Museum is- the original home of motorsport and aviation, a unique and special place to work, where people’s pursuit of speed, flight and adventure changed the world! We are located on a 30-acre site, part of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit and the most productive aircraft factories in Europe in the twentieth century, we are also home of British Airways Concorde – Delta Golf. The Museum welcomes over 180,000 visitors each year these are made up of members of the public, Brooklands Members, VIPs, corporate hospitality guests and school groups.
