Job Opportunity
Our team in Faversham, Kent, are looking for an accredited BABCP High Intensity Therapist to support the Mind and Body Service. Mind and Body in Kent supports children and young adults who are self-harming, at risk of self-harming, or struggling with their mental wellbeing.
We help people find positive ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, working with small groups in secondary schools and in the community.
Please be advised this is a part-time role, working 15 hours per week. The 15 hours can be flexible between the hours of 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. The salary advertised is FTE.
You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of Mind and Body Practitioners and Team Leaders. Supervision will be provided on both an individual and group basis. Some sessions can be offered virtually but group sessions will take place in person at our Faversham office.
The candidate should be qualified in CBT Supervision or commit to completing the required course. You will also support with the clinical governance of the Mind and Body service.
Essential Skills
You will be a compassionate and motivated individual who has demonstrable experience working in mental health and young persons’ services and has the ability to connect quickly with the people we support. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills, and able to manage your time effectively. It is important that you have sound knowledge of common mental health problems and keep abreast with current legislation.
To Do This Job Successfully, You Will Need
1. CYP Talking Therapies Course (Post Graduate Diploma) or a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy – plus further post-graduate qualification training in CYP CBT
2. Accreditation with BABCP
3. Commitment to further study of CBT Supervisor course or already completed this
4. Demonstrable experience working in mental health and young person services
5. Demonstrable experience with routine outcome monitoring
6. Use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
