Summary
A Level 3 Equine Groom Apprentice is required. Trew Eventing are looking for a hard-working apprentice who has previous experience to join their established team. The successful candidate will be given the platform and support to develop their skills and launch a career in the equine sector.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
A non-rider position is preferred, but the successful candidate has an option to hack horses, if they choose to. Candidates must be willing to travel to national and international events to assist the current travelling groom - as this may be required.
General duties include:
* Mucking out
* Turning out/bringing in
* Tack cleaning
* Tacking up
* Feeding Filling hay nets
* Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
* Bathing
* Rug changing
* Paddock maintenance
* Schooling
* Riding First aid
* Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
* Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
