Mane are looking for a Project Manager with a background in Steel to join their client, a leading construction company with exciting projects across the UK. You will be based out of their location in Northampton. As a Project Manager, you will act act as the Company Representative across multiple interfaces within the project, serve as the single point of contact for the client, representing the company's interests. and understand and communicate the project scope, key contract requirements, and relevant documentation. Team and Programme Management Align the project team's roles, skills, and behavior with company objectives. Establish team structure, tools, and processes for effective delivery. Prepare and review construction programmes prior to client submission. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Co-create and approve safe methods of working, risk assessments, and method statements. Implement site safety rules and ensure workforce awareness. Develop and implement the Site Environmental Management Plan (SEMP). Record and report HSE accidents and incidents using the Notify platform. Ensure Occupational Health assessments and surveillance are completed. Quality Management Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). Co-produce and implement the Project Quality Plan and Construction Phase Plan. Promote continuous improvement and innovation in methodology and processes. Resource and Labour Management Manage project labour force and resources when no site supervisor or construction manager is present. Review labour budgets with the Project Director and Commercial Manager. Communicate resource requirements and ensure timely requisition of necessary items. Communication and Reporting Attend internal tender handover and client/main contractor meetings (e.g., health & safety, progress, coordination). Monitor and record project progress weekly. Prepare and submit look-ahead programmes to head office and clients. Client and Subcontractor Coordination Ensure all project requirements are understood and communicated to subcontractors and designers. Liaise regularly with design engineers and subcontractors to meet project specifications and timelines. Ensure timely submission of all required client and contractor documentation. Performance and Development Conduct regular team appraisals and provide effective performance feedback. Oversee onboarding for new employees and provide career development planning. Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning. Qualifications and Experience Significant experience in a Project Manager role within a construction business ideally with a background in Steel. Proven track record in managing high-value construction projects. CSCS Card (relevant type). Leadership and project management experience; professional membership is desirable but not essential
