About the role We have an exciting opportunity available for a Trial Administrator to join the Early Phase Research Hub in the Department of Oncology, working closely with our consultant staff and research teams to administer a rolling research portfolio. The aim is to ensure that the research is conducted on a highly professional, performance driven basis. Working as part of a team, the postholder will handle a number of studies of varying complexity and stages from start to finish. The design/ set-up and amendment phases often need intensive progress tracking and chasing. Trial Administrators are responsible for collating, submitting and maintaining the study documentation in adherence to current GCP and other regulatory requirements. You will be required to assist with some of the Centres’ broader research coordination needs, including administering the quality management system, producing funding applications and other complex documents, meeting organisation (e.g. committees, in-house training sessions, audits, regular seminars and occasional conferences) and general routine office duties. This is a full-time post and is fixed-term for two years. The post will be based at the Churchill Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LE. About you The successful applicant will be educated to A-level or equivalent and have proven research project management experience relevant to clinical research. You will have previous experience of clinical trial administration, ideally including knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, NHS research governance and using on-line electronic research ethics/ regulatory submission systems (e.g. IRAS). Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and advanced office and IT skills are essential. You will be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative, with the ability to effectively prioritise your work tasks and adhere to scheduled deadlines.
