Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: £12.90 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Reception class in a mainstream primary school in Haywards Heath. You'll work alongside another Teaching Assistant to support two children with additional needs.
* Child 1: Has ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and is non-verbal.
* Child 2: Has physical disabilities and requires practical support.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-2-1 and small group support within the Reception class.
* Use strategies to support communication, learning, and emotional regulation for the non-verbal child.
* Offer physical and practical support to the child with physical disabilities, helping with movement and accessing learning activities.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and your fellow Teaching Assistant to create a consistent and inclusive environment.
* Adapt learning activities to meet the children's individual needs.
* Provide regular updates to parents and work together on home support strategies.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities.
* Confident, patient, and adaptable, with a caring and compassionate approach.
* Knowledge of early years learning strategies and how to support SEN in Reception.
* Comfortable working as part of a team and taking initiative when needed.
Additional Information:
* £12.90/hour PAYE (no timesheets).
* Local work in Burgess Hill.
* Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
* Help with DBS and EWC registration if needed.
