Job Summary
This is a London Borough of Havering position - full time 36 hours per week, supervising the Support, Time and Recovery (STR) and Peer Support Workers (PSW) who focus on the direct needs of service users to provide support, give time, and promote recovery to clients with more complex needs.
We are looking for a flexible and dynamic individual who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary team and has the capability to work independently in the community. Experience working in a community setting with adult Mental Health clients is essential. Regular appointments with clients will be arranged to provide one-on-one support to develop Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The aim is to focus on client recovery to enable people to live independently and achieve their desired goals.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Supervise the Support, Time and Recovery Team and Peer Support Workers as directed by the Social Inclusion and Resources Manager.
2. Be responsible for a small caseload of service users.
3. Establish supportive and empowering relationships with service users, working in isolated situations with vulnerable clients.
4. Liaise with other agencies and relevant professionals.
5. Monitor changes in the lives of service users and notify the Support Services of any emergencies.
6. Lead in the setup, facilitation, and overseeing of community groups to encourage social engagement.
7. Work hours are 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday (with ad hoc weekend and bank holiday working).

Starting with NELFT
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and allocation of equipment.

The primary purpose of the role is to:
1. Contribute to the delivery of an effective Adult Mental Health MDT service as part of a social care service.
2. Carry out high-quality holistic assessments using strengths-based, person-centred, community-focused, and multi-agency interventions.
3. Understand the legal and statutory duties of the post as required by the Care Act.
4. Provide a person-centred service focusing on asset-based interventions.
5. Support people to maintain their independence within their homes.
6. Manage a small caseload of service users and establish supportive relationships.

Skills
Essential
* Experience of supervising staff.

* GCSE maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
