A permanent full-time post (37.5 hrs per week) has arisen within the Children and Young Persons Service working within the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The post holder will have experience of working in a similar environment, and previous secretarial experience is essential due to the demands of the role.
The role will be based at The Fairfield Centre, Carleton Clinic Site, Cumwhinton Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA1 3SX.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work alongside a team of Administrators, Pathway Coordinators, Administration Team Leads, Team Managers, and Clinical Managers with allocated duties to support the administration function for this service. A good knowledge of Microsoft packages and typing qualifications are essential for this role.

* A good understanding of the RiO system (not essential as training is provided).

* Participation in all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
Person Specification
Education & Qualification
* General level of education to O Level/GCSE or equivalent.
* Audio Typing qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
* Word-processing skills at Level 3 (OCR/RSA Level 3 or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrable relevant experience).
* NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care or equivalent.
Knowledge & Experience
* Knowledge of NHS Policies & Procedures.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including email communication.
* Previous secretarial/clerical experience.
* Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times.
* Ability to maintain and update Patient Information Systems e.g. RiO.
* Good working knowledge of office procedures.
* Experience of working with medical records filing systems.
Skills & Competences
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Able to prioritize and plan own workload.
* Minute taking skills.
