The team has been successful in supporting a number of children with autism and mental health needs, improving their outcomes and reducing their need to go into hospital. Due to the success of the team, additional funding has been awarded to extend the scope to include adults.
If you are driven, passionate, and want to work with Autistic individuals who are in mental health crisis and are at risk of admission to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
The team is a specialist, multi-disciplinary team currently consisting of Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Nursing and Therapy Assistants, and Assistant Psychologists.

Job Responsibilities
As a team, we work systemically to understand and support the significant impact and challenges experienced by children and adults with autism who are in mental health crisis and their families.
In order to do this, we work with the network around the child/young person (e.g., RISE, Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a nurse, you will have experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working as you will need to attend and chair regular MDTs, CETRs, and EMDTs.
As a nurse, you would visit individuals at home/school/in appropriate settings multiple times a week to engage them and carry out our assessments and interventions. The nurses currently in the team describe this as the best part of their role, and no day is the same.
This is an exciting time to join our Team as we mature and expand and continue to look for innovative ways to support the families we work with. If you are passionate, motivated, and driven to prevent individuals with autism and mental health from being admitted to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
