As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of support staff, guiding and motivating them to deliver the highest standard of care.
* Care Planning: Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
* Supervision: Conduct regular supervision sessions with team members, offering guidance, feedback, and support to help them excel in their roles.
* Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children within the home, monitoring and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
* Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and best interests of the children, ensuring they have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team leaders and staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive work environment.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the children’s progress, behaviour, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Training and Development: Identify training needs for team members and support their professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience working with children within a residential setting.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
