Fund Performance Analyst – Relocation to Madrid
Our client is a European mid-market private capital investment firm. The firm has over €3.5 billion in assets under management (AUM).
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fund Performance Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with a strong emphasis on financial modelling. This role involves managing the financial performance of our funds, conducting in-depth portfolio analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support fund performance and
* portfolio analysis, investment decisions, and forecasting.
* Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for funds, providing insights on performance
* relative to benchmarks and industry standards.
* Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as required, supporting various strategic initiatives and
* investment opportunities.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, the Business Development
* team, and investors.
* Daily interaction with the Investment and Fund team and work closely with the Business
* Development team to align financial strategies with business objectives.
* Oversee the adherence to terms and conditions of financial agreements by supervising payment
* schedules, interest rates, collateral requirements, and other contractual obligations.
* Day-to-day leadership and oversight of the portfolio monitoring team.
* Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
* Lead the implementation and adoption of systems that improve the investment process.
Qualifications
* Bachelor ́s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in funds finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, or related fields.
* Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and analysis tools.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data without compromising accuracy.
* Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* English and Spanish full working proficiency.
