We are currently looking for a Lead Systems and Integration Engineer for our client, a developer of bespoke electric vehicle drivetrain systems, leveraging cutting-edge, proprietary technology to deliver world-class solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and integration of our electric vehicle conversions and our EV conversion kits.
The Lead Systems and Integration Engineer will:
1. Take overall responsibility for the engineering function at Electrogenic, ensuring that our bolt-in powertrains remain the best-in-class and that their integration within the vehicles is of the highest standard.
2. Work with our electrical and software engineers, while leading a small team of design engineers.
3. Set standards, ensure our design is applied throughout all our products, ensuring design for production and value engineering.
4. Ensure that the finished product drives beautifully and is aesthetically pleasing.
5. Carry out detailed mechanical design work, including 3D modelling, prototyping, and design verification testing, while ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards and legal vehicle conversion regulations.
The Lead Systems and Integration Engineer will have:
1. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
2. Automotive experience.
3. Advanced SolidWorks proficiency.
4. Proven track record in leading product development projects.
5. Extensive expertise in designing bespoke automotive projects.
6. Proficiency in GD&T.
7. Proficiency in creating detailed 2D drawings for manufacture.
8. Practical experience in assembly and testing.
9. Exceptional attention to detail.
10. Experience in mentorship.
11. Experience working to tight deadlines in a customer-centric business.
