Salary: £32,010 - £37,626 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 1 x 36 hours, 1 x 18 hours per week

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join us as Justice Workers in the Court Team (full time) and the Domestic Abuse Service (part time). This is a fantastic opportunity for people looking to work within a professional, dedicated and supportive team and service.
Justice Workers support people who are in contact with Edinburgh Justice Services on a statutory or voluntary basis. The post holders will be contributing to providing interventions designed to reduce reoffending, vulnerability and harm and to support desistance and wellbeing, within a trauma-informed care approach. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues within and out with Justice services in line with relevant legislation, public protection and other national and departmental policy and procedures. Specific tasks include:
* Undertaking assessments in relation to Bail Supervision (Court team)
* Liaising with partner agencies e.g., housing, mental health and substance use services
* Provide services on an individual or group work basis (Domestic Abuse Service) - this role includes evening working.
To be considered for this post you should have HNC in Social Care or equivalent, and extensive experience of working in care or justice settings.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
